Is your AC blowing warm air, making strange noises, or just not keeping up with the humidity? We don’t just provide quick fixes—we offer long-term solutions that keep your AC running at peak performance.
Common AC Challenges in North Redington Beach, FL
The coastal environment presents unique challenges for AC systems, and homeowners in Colony Surf, Gulf Boulevard, and La Vistana often deal with:
- Salt Air Damage – Homes near Boca Ciega Bay and Gulf Boulevard are exposed to salty air, which speeds up AC wear and tear. Protective coatings and routine maintenance can extend system life.
- High Humidity & Mold Growth – Properties in Shore Mariner and The Breakers can experience poor indoor air quality due to excess moisture. A dehumidifier and AC tune-ups help regulate air balance.
- Power Surges & Storm Damage – Summer storms in Redington Reef and The Breakers can cause electrical surges that damage AC units. Installing surge protectors can prevent costly repairs.
- Rising Energy Costs – Large beachfront windows in Sea Oats and The Shore Mariner increase cooling demands. Upgrading to high-efficiency AC systems and smart thermostats can help control costs.
Frequent AC Repairs in North Redington Beach, FL
Coastal homes face year-round AC strain. In communities like Mariners Light, Gulf Beaches, and Redington Shores, we frequently handle:
- Weak or Warm Airflow – Refrigerant leaks, clogged filters, or duct issues are common in Windward and Greenbrook.
- Short Cycling – Oversized units, dirty coils, or incorrect thermostat settings often cause issues in La Contessa and Redington Beach Villas.
- Loud Noises – Buzzing, rattling, or grinding sounds can indicate loose parts or compressor failure, frequently seen in The Tides Beach Club and Sunset Reef.
- Water Leaks – High humidity can lead to clogged drain lines or frozen coils, especially in Redington Towers and The Breakers.
- High Utility Bills – Rising cooling costs could mean an inefficient AC system, prompting many in La Contessa and Boca Ciega Bay to upgrade to energy-efficient units.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I schedule AC maintenance?
With salty air and high humidity, twice a year is recommended to prevent corrosion and keep your system efficient.
What are the warning signs that my AC needs repair?
Warm air, weak airflow, unusual noises, water leaks, or an unexpected spike in energy bills.
How does humidity affect AC performance?
Too much humidity can make your AC work harder and cause mold growth, condensation, and reduced efficiency, especially in Shore Mariner and The Breakers.
When should I replace my AC instead of repairing it?
If your system is over 10 years old, requires frequent repairs, or struggles to keep up, upgrading to an energy-efficient unit may be the best option.

Found system running with low suction pressures low superheat and extremely cold suction line. I upped the fan speed to try to accommodate for the issues but due believe the txv is burnt and the filter dryer needs replacing. When the next procedure is done we need to r11 flush the line set.

Arrived on site checked system and pressures, all seems to be working

Txv/hard start kit/Capacitor 40/5

AC is freezing up, getting very low suction pressure and normal high side pressure. There is a restriction in TXV. Also outdoor capacitor is very weak and compressor has high startup amps. There is also forms of biological growth inside of blower cavity. Gave client solutions for issues with system. Client chose to go with solution number two. Ordered a new TXV and need to return when part comes in. Also need to replace 40+5 dual run capacitor and 1-3 ton hard star kit.

Gave client quote for new 3 ton Goodman Heat pump system Also gave quote for dual port Daikin mini split

Quoted client for installation of just air brace wall brackets to be installed Also while on site discussed with client on carrier crossover inverters to be installed due to application and code requirements. If client chooses to have systems installed we will be hanging condensers on the wall and strapping down to air brace brackets to code requirements. Air handlers are being converted into closets and will need to be on open stands. Both air handlers will condensate into pumps due to new applications. Advised all new copper linesets and control wire to be ran due to salt water corrosion and peak efficiency of high seer equipment. Both air handlers will need new supply plenums and some supply duct work modifications after installation. Please see attached pics for system placements. Sent estimates over for Mr. Ford to view and awaiting for further approvals.

Replaced full system condenser and Air handler
We couldn't be happier with the quick response, quality service and craftsmanship provided to us from both Mason Air Conditioning and in particular, Brennan Gibson. Our issue had been ongoing, and Brennan's fix will serve us well for the longterm. We now have peace of mind, and look forward to continuing our relationship with Mason and Brennan to keep us in great working order. H/T too, to Chris at Garrett Plumbing who was quick to recommend and put us directly in touch with Mason AC. THANK YOU ALL!

Brennan G Today I returned to install a condensate pump and run the discharge line outside. I preformed and completed the quoted work. The system is now draining normally.
Working with Mason AC & Heating was a breath of fresh air, as was Brennan, a superb tech, tenacious and helpful in working through and finding reasonable solutions to our stubborn AC issue. We are looking forward to working again with Mason and Brennan for the upcoming resolution in the coming week.

Brennan G Today I visited for the condensate line being clogged. I preformed extensive drian flush and was unable to get the line cleared. I emailed estimates for a condensate pump to be installed. We scheduled the new condensate pump to be installed 2-4 on Monday.

Found unit 501 severely over charged. Please see attached pics for before and after. System now performing as designed

Arrived to find system completely out of Freon Pressure tested system with nitrogen Found hole in condenser coil Quoted client for repair vs replacement Honored price from neighbors system that was installed yesterday Took deposits via phone by CC Please contact Mrs Jan for scheduling

New Air Handler New Condenser 10 year parts warranty 1 year Labor and maintenance

This job had to be recreated so that we can book the right location for the install that James sold

Brennan G Today I visited to veiw the jobsite and determine what work will be involved with replacing the AC system. We will need power supplied to the building before we can begin the installation. By this time the Crane that is onsite will be gone and we will need to have our own crane onsite. We collected a deposit for the work to be preformed. The remainder due upon job completion.

Brennan G We are unable to aquire a replacement condenser to match the existing air handler. Here is a quote for an entire replacement system Financing is available.

Brennan G Today I visited to inspect the Ac systems after they were flooded from the hurricane waters. Both systems were submerged in salt water and will need to be replaced. The aluminum coil fins will corrode rapidly due to the salt water. I provided an estimate to replace both systems.
