Unclogged Condensate line. System is operating.

Upon arrival client stated system would cool but not efficiently and that during the day the temp would sometimes rise to 77-78 degrees when set at 75. Investigated entire system to find system slightly under charge according to manufacturer SC specs. But also determined that the supply and return lines are undersized and are creating a extremely high static on system and if Freon was adding there could be a chance of system freezing up due to low SH and suction line temp already. System is in poor shape and the bottom of cinders is rusted out. Recommended replacement of system over band aiding unit top pane causing bigger issues. Client stated they had just moved into home and needs time to think about situation and save money back. Recommended financing options due to situation and unknown time left with system life. If client chooses to go forth with new system the price will includ upsizing 14” return and feeding lines with 16”.

Customers description of events in person point to the nest thermostat shunting power to the reversing valve causing it to switch to heat mode! Recommended replacing with an ecobee thermostat! Also charge was slightly off! Calibrated charge to factory specifications and now outgoing air is under 57.5F and delta T > 20F! Customer will schedule installation of ecobee when she receives it! No charge to customer due to unit never being properly charged from installation!

Upon arrival found unit air handler horizontally in garage attic sweating tremendously. Found total static at .9 return static is too high and recommend upsizing 18” return to a 20”. Also client was running a merv12 filter and recommended using a mere 8 or lower. Found t stat set up for a single stage Heat pump and air handler was never configured at air handler. Reconfigured all equipment and wired for 2 stage system is now running to the best of abilities at a .5 total static but this is without a filter. Need installers to return to build a return box and attach it return of air handler and connect a 20” flex to the top of return box

If estimate is approved We are installing mini split on garage wall next to breaker panel We are not doing any electric except feed from disconnect to mini split condenser. We will also be blowing in insulation in the master bedroom - roughly only need about 4-5 bags. Will also be re splicing/ repairing 14” duct that feeds mixing box to bedroom and mastic all connections to the mixing box and making sure ducts aren’t pinched. We will also blow in a half of bag of insulation in the bathroom on the other side of the house through the hatch. We will also be removing insulation and garbage by hand in garage attic. We will be blowing in insulation in garage after mini split is installed.

Air Conditioning System Repair Service: Upon inspection of the client's HVAC system, I identified a leaking evaporator coil header, which was causing refrigerant leaks and reduced cooling capacity. I promptly repaired the leak by welding the damaged portion of the coil header and pressure testing the system to ensure there were no further leaks. This restored the system's efficiency and prevented any further refrigerant loss.
