Arrived to find system set to cool but was 78 in home Inspected system to find coresense module at condenser tripped. Bypassed to assure core sense module was okay and condenser fan comes on but compressor is pulling LRA! System needs new compressor under manufacture warranty. Installers will need to bring recovery machine and tank out to evactuate system. Will be charging system with factory charge r-410a and replacing in line filter dryer! Client enrolled in maintenance plan while onsite.

System is operating normal at this time. Indoor and outdoor coils were cleaned, all major and minor electrical components were inspected and tested, refrigerant pressures and temperatures were checked. Start up amps were high on compressor. Owner was advised to install surge protectors as well as a hard start kit in addition to being offered a membership.

System not cooling, found system low on refrigerant. System is over 20 years old and uses R-22 refrigerant. This refrigerant is obsolete and system needs to be replaced. Sent landlord estimate to replace AC system. He is getting other quotes. He said he will follow up as soon as he makes a decision

Client says they were hearing a loud noise coming from condenser. Did a complete evaluation of system. Could not hear any noises, however, did find compressor has very high startup amps and there is no surge protector on system. Gave client solutions for issues with system. Client said that she needs to talk to her son before any repairs are made.

Performed tuneup on AC system. Inspected indoor and outdoor coils, replaced air filter, flushed drain line, inspected blower wheel, checked temperatures, checked static pressure, inspected ductwork, checked refrigerant pressures, inspected all major and minor electrical components. Found biological growth buildup in blower cavity and evaporator coil, UV light is burnt out and not working in blower cavity and is in the wrong location, compressor has high startup amps, and outdoor capacitor is weak. Gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is 6 years old and out of warranty. Recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs. Cycling in tested system, all operations OK at this time.

Arrived to find system working as designed Check temps in home to find the two bedrooms closest to thermostat are the coldest rooms and are metal duct runs. Let’s try to cut back some of the flow in those rooms with duct board behind the grills and cut donut holes in them to decrease air in the rooms some and force more in other parts of the h9me. Will be insulating 1600 sq ft home with r-38. Need to schedule bring 20-25 bags of insulation and some spare duct board

Installed new package system.

Arrived to find 5 Ton package system running but not cooling well. Investigated system to find completely frozen. Made client aware that this is a straight ac system and will take some time to thaw unlike a Heat pump system. Made client also aware that the system is over sized for his home and that this was the beginning of several problems this unit can give to them. Advised replacement due to over sized for home and system not going to be under warranty in near future. System likely has a leak in coils or a bad expansion valve and gave client a rough quote of 1-2k for repairs. Sent client options for replacement and financing as well

This estimate includes replacement of all existing ductwork including the addition of a second my supply in Florida room. Also includes installation of a hanging kit with new secondary drain pan, new condensate drain line plumbed to outside, removal of condensate pump, new safety switch for emergency pan, and new supply and return plenums properly installed on air handler! This estimate also includes a top off of insulation to R38 thickness. one year of Mach2 premium maintenance contract free of charge. Discounted price from owner is good until Monday 3/11/24

Duct work estimates

Performed system maintenance. Found visible tears in existing duct system. Appears a portion of it was replaced without adding mastic seal. Total of 5 runs that appears to be original to home. Supply Plenum tape coming loose as well as the return Plenum. (Duct work repair) also includes mastic sealing all connections. Indoor equipment does have abnormal amount of biological growth present at blower motor. Suggest to pull clean motor, disinfect cabinet and consider adding an ultra violet light.
