Upon arrival client stated hallway to upstairs and hallway in common area upstairs was super hot and muggy feeling. Found this issue to be that the main return that use to feed the system still partially opened in attic and needs to be completely sheet rocked in. New return box needs to be sealed to wood deck, return flex needs to be strapped up, I recommend rebuilding supply plenum and reduing the distribution box. Flex runs needs to be upsized in east bedroom west bedroom needs to supply from plenum it’s the furthest room please assure proper flow in registers and temp in rooms before leaving. Need to reseal the new bedroom supply boot box

Upon arrival client stated that system was leaking water through return grill Investigated system on rooftop to find all drain lines that have p trap attached to them to be disconnected. Made client aware the p trap has to be present and that nothing was glued after installing safety switches. Blue glued all loose fittings to assure pvc can not come detached again

Performed maint Found multiple issues with system including blower motor failing and not turning off x-13 module is bad. Condenser fan motor has spat out oil and bearings are bad. Client decided to replace system after maint was performed and we are also installing a 9k mini split in the addition in back of home please see attached pics

Humidity was 70% on arrival. Unit was cooling and draining , sub cool 11.5. Recommend new duct work to bring humidity down. Unit is cooling thoroughly though.

Arrived to find system with little to no Freon in system The compressor plug to be disconnected from compressor System just had compressor replaced yesterday and the suction piping is kinked to compressor and the solider joints are leaking and cracked with excessive solider. Made clients aware that I could attempted the leaky repair and install new filter dryer and in hopes having a functional unit, or we could replace the system as we did to 547 and have no issues with system afterwards due to how long the system has been dow. For. Sent repairs and new system estimate over for approval made clients aware we will have to collect full payment before work is performed due to outstanding balance

Arrived to find dehumidification set point at 45-55 which would mean the system is going to focus on more of dehumidification mode rather than cooling the space. Also found that the trim levels were set at +15% and profile was at A. Set trim levels to manufacture spec and profile at D. Reperformed system check and was providing a 18 degree temp split and had cooled the house. 4 degrees writhin a 30 min run time. Made clients aware to keep us in the loop with system

Arrived to find system cooling but temp in home was 80 Investigated system to find several fault codes of blower motor not running when should and aux contacts open. These codes were thrown due to secondary safety switch being triggered from clogged drain line. Cleared and treated under 1st year warranty. Assured proper flow and signed client up for 2 system maint which needs to be scheduled asap and installed primary ac drain gel tablet cleaner. Client had concerns of one room not having air flow at all. Inspected duct system to find flex duct completely disconnected assuming from electrician while they was doing work. Please see attached pics. I reinstalled with supplies I had on my van as courtesy. System is now performing as designed. Client would like estimate for insulation blown in his 3500 sq ft home.

Gave client quote for moving his main system 1.5 Ton straight ac system. Also gave quote to move mini split condenser on wall bracket roughly 8ft in the air above where it sits now. Due to age and condition of main system condenser the client and I agreed replacement maybe a responsible solution. Also quoted client for 2 system heat pump replacement with relocation of mini split. Client is going to over quotes and get back with us if wishes to proceed.

Upon arrival client had made me aware that temperature in home would randomly spike and temperature sensor she is using to measure is reading different. Inspected entire system to find cause of random spike is thermostat malfunction I believe. Please see attached pics but the readings I was getting in the general area of the thermostat was roughly 3-4 degrees off from what thermostat was displaying. The thermostat is also in a (dead spot) in home and I recommended is chooses to replace we can relocate to more common area in home to lesson run time and more accurate home temps. The start capacitor that was replaced was left on site and was in deed extremely weak and was due for replacement and made client aware that repair was definitely necessary to prevent another call back or worse damage to condenser. The company is questionable when it comes to prompt and valuing the customers time. Had an original estimate scheduled for a certain time but they arrived later (1st hint). Scheduled repairs and was told that the part needed to be ordered. Notified part will arrive Friday. Tech will be out to you between 8 am and 10 am. On Monday I had to call the company to find out where my tech was. I was informed that he is running behind. New scheduled time 12 - 2 same day. Got a text message saying now between 1 and 2. Heard nothing until I got another text message from a tech saying he will be at my residence between 4:30 and 5 now. Called the office and informed them that I was no longer home and they need to reschedule. I had a conversation with Dawn who could only respond with “I apologize for your inconvenience!” Informed her that if the tech doesn’t show up as scheduled this time I will go with another company. Rescheduled for Wednesday morning. Office called saying tech will be there in :25 to :30 mins. Tech showed up :50 minutes later. Mike was the only hero in this. I informed Mike that I wanted to speak with the owner prior to paying once the work was completed. Owner only agreed to taking off 5% off the agreed price. I said to the owner “If you value my time at only 5%, I will take what I can get. Mike talked him to taking off $250!!! The tech is outstanding. The company is not!!

I have had an AC maintenance contract for two years that I feel was a good deal as my system had a slow refrigerant leak and was around ten years old and needed TLC. All the servicemen they sent every six months were knowledgeable, thorough, and very professional. The office reached out to me by text and email to schedule appointment slots and to know when they were en route. The day before my scheduled maintenance my ac stopped cooling at all. The technician told me it was completely out of refrigerant (a full filling takes five pounds at $100 each not counting repairing the leak once you locate them). I used to manage rental property and know that fixing leaks could end up also requiring replacing expensive components such as the compressor or cooling coils. And then often soon needing repairs to other parts as the system was getting old like a high mileage car. They got their heads together and gave me a reasonable price to replace the whole system of cooling, heating, and blower motor, with a higher energy efficiency rating. I agreed and they squeezed me in the very next day. The workers removed all the old and replaced it with brand new and left everything neat and clean like they found it. I’m pleased with their service

Everybody I met (James, Bobby, Zach) did their best to give me a quality product and install. These guys all seemed to know their product and seemed dedicated to doing their best for me. I also like how the Wisetack loan connections were implemented. A very easy process. I would definitely recommend Mason to others.
