Performed tuneup on AC system. Inspected indoor and outdoor coils, flushed drain line, replaced air filter, inspected blower wheel, checked temperatures, checked static pressure, checked refrigerant pressures, inspected all major and minor electrical components. Client says that air handler is very loud and is sucking in air filter. Static pressure was very high. Getting a total of 1.15 inches of static pressure. Adjusted the fan speed and got total static pressure to .7 inches. Advise client to switch from a Merv 11 air filter to a Merv 8 air filter to reduce airflow restriction. System is much quieter now and operating much better after fan was adjusted. Also found a lot of slime and sludge in drain line, put some drain treatment in drain line And flushed it out with vacuum and water, there was some biological growth buildup in air handler, outdoor capacitor is weak, and compressor has high startup amps. Came out from machine being clogged upon arrival found air handler leaking through the roof and drain pan filled up unclogged drain line and found drain pan was also backed up. Got both of them cleared machine is draining good now and operational.

The first time I came out here, the machine had a small clog in the line. Customer had a little bit of concerns about the machine, not cooling correctly, so I added just a tad bit of refrigerant to see if it would change degrees the degrees only went up by maybe one when I came back today there was water everywhere in the machine. The EVap coil pan is completely caked up and is not allowing water to flow out of it. Also, they return Plenum in the coffin boxes is completely detached from the coffin box and is allowing a lot of attic air to mix along with insulation being sucked into the EA coil. The vape coil needs to be pulled and cleaned Along with the blower wheel that is caked with growth and the return Plenum inside the coffin box needs to be reattached along with re-insulating the coffin box.

Need to go out for AC air handler mastic and seal on the side where it’s leaking. Customer ended up working later until 6:30 PM tonight. Don’t have materials to seal up machine need to reschedule to complete job.

Came out for maintenance upon arrival. Customer had no concerns other than she wanted the machine to be working good for the summertime after going over everything in the machine machine had a perfect temp. Split of 19° and drain was pushing a bunch of water out. customer machine is operational and ready for the summer.

Came out for customers AC not working upon arrival found a 20-year-old machine with R 22 and a leaking coil. The coil is completely deteriorated. Customer needs new machine cannot get customer approved for machine looking into other options for finances.

Arrived to find system undersized and client having issues in master bedroom always hot. Advised client of upsizing system and unfortunately would have to upsize air ducting in home to accommodate for upsized system to assure proper air flows! Client invested in new Daikin fit inverter Heat pump with all new duct system. Will be installing new UV lamp with new system

Water dripping into emergency drain pan from primary pan. There is crack in primary pan causing it to leak out of unit. Need to replace primary pan. Gave client options for repairs, however, system I don’’tis 8 years old and recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs.

Arrived to find system low on r410A Client previously had a company out and diagnosed a bad condenser coil. Further inspected system to find leaks in evaporator coil. System is 12 years old and out of warranty. Client wanted new quote on system. Hadn’t quote and added Freon made aware we would credit back charge for Freon within 2 weeks

Arrived to find dampers closed shut and caused system to freeze up Made client aware and they wish to hold off on getting new dampers for now they are letting system thaw then will turn back on

Arrived to find outdoor unit non operational System was out on IOL due to bad start components Advised client system was old and issues could be further with system installed new staring components and tested system to find operating but low on r-22 client has a home warranty and will call them . Client had Task includes -Replacement of start capacitor -Installation of new compressor start assist -Cooling compressor down

System condensate line was clogged and not allowing system to run. Upon further diagnostic the air handler was found to have biological growth, the condenser compressor had higher than rated start up amps and the disconnect box was not in optimal condition (signs of burning and rust). Customer approved recommendations to add an ultra violet light (to reduce biological growth), a new disconnect box, surge protector, a hard start assist, and a condensate line cleaner. Cleared and flushed drain line and tested drain. Cycled AC, all operations good at this time.

Arrived to find system in off position Turned system in and immediately seen the issue was the drain piping was slopped uphill. Previous tech had made some repairs to float switch and piping and I’m assuming accidentally slopped drain. Fixed issues and assured proper drainage and that all water safety’s would turn system off when tripped. All is now working as designed

Sent estimate for In Warranty evaporator coil replacement

Upon arrival client stated system was not cooling well and had a smell in home of paint thinner. Investigated electrical to find all okay. Turned system on and tested operation to find system almost bone dry of Freon. System utilizes r-22 and made client aware we do not carry nor can get r-22 any longer and unfortunately replacement was needed. Gave client quote for new 2.5 ton carrier heat pump system and made aware of tariffs to be taken effect shortly and can not hold price long. Client is going to discuss with wife and reach back out.

Arrived to find thermostat set to 70 and was 77 in home Found condenser in high pressure lock out Investigated system to find bad start cap for condenser fan motor Replaced and tested system again to find working to best of abilities Advised client maintenance was due on system and offered plan for yearly maintenance. System is also of age and made aware of price increase aluminum tariffs and to start putting penny’s back for replacement.

Arrived to find system in off position Turned system on to find straight ac system almost completely out of r-410A. System has a leak in micro channel condenser coil. System is out of warranty and supply houses are closed. Will call tomorrow with availability and price for new condenser coil. Sent revised quotes
