Insulated stand falling apart likely due to sucking in hot humid garage air causing excessive humidity inside stand! Blower motor making a slight grinding noise possible bearing issue! Recommend replacement of stand and plenums up to current codes and warranty replacement of blower motor.
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the compressor fan capacitor had failed and the contactor relay was burnt. Tad elected to have the faulty components replaced and the system is now cooling. We discussed enrolling the system into our maintenance agreement. Tad declined at this time. I suggested having us return in the spring to preform a pre summer maintenance.
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the system is low on refrigerant 410a. I preformed a leak search and found the evaporator coil is leaking. The system is out of manufacture warranty and repairs are not recommended. Andrew elected to have the system topped off for temporary cooling. I added 3 lbs to get the system cooling again. I discussed with Andrew that since the leak is not repaired the refrigerant will leak back out and refilling the system is only a temporary fix. I emailed Andrew a system replacement estimate for review.
Material list
Brennan G I edited the estimate for the system replacement to include the details that were discussed. I also created an additional estimate for blow in insulation.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and the community.
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the G wire in the thermostat was loose and the blower would not turn on. I Made the correction and the equipment is now cooling. I preformed a maintenance while onsite. The system is mostly clean. Slight dust build up on the blower wheel. May need to be pulled and cleaned next visit. I flushed the drain line and washed the condenser coil. The defrost board, condenser fan motor, and contact relay were all replaced by another company. I discovered the capacitor was slightly weak and the compressor was drawing 13RA. I was unable to tell from the account history if the maintenance agreement was still in effect or if ot is time to renew. I suggested Amanda call the office to renew the maintenance agreement.

Brennan G Today I visited to provide solutions and estimates to fix air distribution and comfort problems throughout the home.
Arrived to find tripped condenser breaker Investigated entire system to find bad compressor contacted and cap. Recommended parts to be replaced to further determine what has caused the breaker to trip. Client had concerns and myself that there is more issues that can not be seen with condenser to have breaker tripped. Wanted price on new condenser also. Gave clients complete system replacement quote as well due to price difference between new condenser and whole system installation. Husband is not at home and clients want to discuss finances before pulling the trigger on any repairs. Also made wife aware of financing any job to be performed to help conserve on finds they may have put back.
Installed 9 “ 90 elbow to allow more air flow and
Found indoor unit blower running and outdoor system off along with blank t stat. Reset power to find all okay I believe the power interruption caused the issue and system has to have power turned on in the sequence of condenser first followed by the air handler
Determined the supply plenum is undersized and not allowing all air to be distributed throughout causing excessive moisture build up. Also determined the one of the supply feeds off the plenum in attic needs to be redone or rerouted due to it sweating as well.
Recharged and fixed plenum
Resealed plenum and coffin box at unit. Installed proper breaker and heat strip. System starting to dry out now. Recommend running fan in circulate mode for the day to help dry out unit! Delta T 21-22F
Brennan G Today I visited for a mildew smell coming throught the vents. I preformed an Inspection and discovered that the air handler cabinet and supply duct plenum are filled with biological growth. I provided options for air purification, system cleaning and replacement of the duct system.
Upon arrival client stated he had error code sent to his email and the master bedroom is warmer than the rest of the house still. Found that the report code was control fault 45 due to condenser was wired 4 wire when it only needs 2 wires at condenser for communication. Changed wiring and then found system was being filtered at return registers and 5” media at the back of system. Made client aware he only needs to be filtering at the 5” media because he was running at a total of .92 static which is extremely too high. The 9” feeder that goes to the master bedroom is pinched off at plenum. Need installers to return to fix this issue and move 9” feeder to the end cap of plenum and add a 14” and 12” damper to the runs feeding the separate sides of home to better balance air movement.
Assisted homeowner with app set up and checked unit install! See notes!
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the compressor fan capacitor had failed. We replaced the faulty component and the system is now cooling. The refrigerant levels and electrical components are within specs. I offered to chemical flush the drain line. Additional services declined at this time.
