Part is covered under a warranty, client is responsible for labor to replace electric heat element, also need to replace relay, fuse, and limit. System has biological growth buildup on evaporator coil and blower wheel, there is no surge protection on the system. Gave client options for repairs, client chose to just replace the heat kit for now. Ordered parts and they should arrive within 2 to 3 business days.

No heat, not getting 240 V to air handler. Found circuit breaker tripped. Noticed that electric heat kit was running continuously because heating wire was on W-2. Moved heating wire to one on thermostat and cycled heat. Heat pump and electric auxiliary heat came on. Getting 22 A at the electric heat kit when it gets energized. All operations OK at this time.

No heat, first off found AC running when thermostat was set to heat mode. This is a straight cool system with electric heat not a heat pump. Found thermostat set up for heat pump with auxiliary heat. Set and reprogrammed thermostat for conventional heat with electric heat. Heat still not working, found burnt out high limit on electric heat element and wires disconnected. This most likely happened from the evaporator coil being completely plugged with no room to breathe, causing high limit to overheat. There is a heavy amount of biological growth inside of air handler. Gave client solutions for issues with system. Recommended pulling and cleaning evaporator coil as well as blower wheel, sanitizing and disinfecting the air handler cabinet, installing UV lights to prevent biological growth from forming in the future, and replacing 5KW electronic heating element. also offered client prime membership. Client wants to think about it and review options and will get back to us.

Give client estimate to install completely new system with 2.5 ton heat pump, all new ductwork, two bathroom exhaust fans, and dryer venting. Client getting other estimates and will follow up.

No heat in bedroom. System is tripping on high pressure due to clogged filters and dirty blower wheel. Advise client that both systems need to be thoroughly chemically cleaned and pressure washed. Offered client to sign up for prime membership. Client wants to move forward with cleanings and membership. Scheduled to come out on Tuesday, January 27. Client got approved for financing through synchrony.

No heat, client says system was not running and was showing a three flash error code which means pressure switch lockout. Client stated that draft inducer motor was struggling to come on at first, which would be the cause of the pressure switch not closing. Draft inducer motor does start up after it was forced to come on. Need to call in the morning to find out pricing and availability of draft inducer assembly. System is running at this time.

Client says system was freezing up, client let system thaw overnight. Indoor blower is intermittently not kicking on which most likely caused the coil to freeze, also evaporator coil has heavy amounts of biological growth buildup, there is no surge protection on indoor or outdoor unit, compressor has high startup amps, and condenser fan motor has high running amps. Gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is 11 years old and recommended replacing due to age and cost of repairs. Client decided to just do minimum repairs for now and wants to keep the system going for the next 2 to 3 years. Scheduled to replace blower motor with X 13 universal motor and install hard start kit to reduce compressor start up amps. Scheduled for tomorrow, December 31 between 12 and 4. Client signed up for an annual prime membership. Need to schedule 1st maintenance.

No cooling, indoor fan and outdoor fan are running, but the compressor is not. Did a complete evaluation of AC system. Noticed several duct runs in attic leaking air and biological growth buildup around duct connections in air handler. Found blown dual run capacitor outside, which was tied into a second capacitor for the fan as well as hard start kit, which was not working properly. Gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is 7 years old and recommended replacing ductwork as well as AC system due to age and condition. Client just wanted to do the immediate repair for now. Eliminated the secondary run capacitor and installed a dual run capacitor to take care of the compressor and condenser fan. Replaced hard start assist. Cycled and tested system, all operations OK at this time. Client signed up for monthly membership. Office needs to contact client to schedule first maintenance.

Replacing 3 ton heat pump system with all due ductwork in attic. Replacing supply and return Plenums, need to cut sheet rock to access some of the duct runs, sheet rock repairs are included in estimate. Scheduled to start install on Wednesday, December 10. Job will take 3 to 4 days. Client paid in full by check.
