Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling and leaking water. I discovered the emergency pan was over flowing and the float sensors were no longer shutting the system down. I did not see the water leak from the air handler into the pan, I am unsure why the water ended up in the pan. I replaced both float switches and cleared the drain line. I also reduced the blower speed to T3 in order to reduce air pressure that may have caused the water to drain improperly. I watched the system run and drain normally before leaving.
Brennan G Today I visited for furnace making and loud nouse and the system operating inefficiently. We discovered the blower assembly has failed and the system is not moving the proper amount of air to sufficiently cool the home. I also discovered many other concerns regarding the equipments efficiency and saftey. Due to the age and repair cost Meera elected to have us replace the system. The job is being funded via upgrade and is scheduled for 11/21.
Arrived to find thermostat set at 72 and satisfied at 72 Inspected entire system to find super heat slightly low and only a 3 degree subcool. Manufacture data plate states they want a 14-16 degree superheat and 7-9 subcool. Adjusted txv and added Freon accordingly to achieve manufacturer specs. All is now cooong as designed and has dropped temp to 69 inside.
Returned and replaced 3 ton daikin system with new 3.5 ton Goodman system. This is the system the owner originally payed for . Assured proper cooling and draining
James Returned and evacuated system Removed OEM filter dryer Brazed in new filter dryer Pressurized system with nitrogen to assure no leaks Pulled required 500 micron vac Charged system with weighed out charge and system is now performing as designed.
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the contactor relay was burnt and needed to be replaced and have minor wiring repairs done. I made the necessary repairs to get the system operational. The system is now cooling. We discussed future services the system should have done and also discussed enrolling into our maintenance agreement. I gave the member discount as a courtesy. I emailed the invoice for payment.
Confirmed filter drier plugged! Contacted Daikin tech support and warranty! Because it is factory installed the part and labor are covered! Case number is in notes for warranty processing through branch!
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. (10 ton) I discovered a restricted filter drier is causing the system to short cycle. We will email a repair estimate after confirming warranty status.
Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. Upon arrival the system was running and draining normally. I preformed an Inspection and I couldn't find anything obviously wrong. The refrigerant pressure and all electrical components were good. The coils are clean. The system is draining normally. I suggested to Ryan that we let the system run as is over night and if it doesn't cool by tomorrow morning we will come back and re evaluate. Need tall ladder to access attic to Inspect duct. I did notice the condenser fan motor bearings sound like they are going out, however the amperage draw is still within specs and the motor is operating.
Task Includes -Running a new thermostat wire from air handler to condenser Returned and helped installers finish job checked total system operation system now communicating as designed and cooling with a 20 degree temp split and has cooled home down 4 degrees since started. Sent email invoice link to client to be payed due to being out of town and not on site
Arrived to find only blower motor running due to left in fan in position Investigated system to find no dc volts at condenser due to bad wire. Managed to find 2 wires that would communicate for Joe but made client aware replacement of wire was highly needed! Client is signing estimate for us to return to run new t stat wire over head in attic and out soffit of home by condenser system is running at this time
Arrived to find blower speed set at 2 tons of air movement Moved to 4 tons of air movement to increase air flow in areas where client was concerned was not as cool as usual. From pressure look way better after moving speed taps Found thermostat reading incorrect temps and changed accordingly System is a 3 ton
Changed boards; re ran flex. Pressures are 130/328 with 11.5SC
Arrived to find system set at 74 and 79 in home client stated system would not achieve under 79 degrees. Hooked gauges to system to find system with signs of air flow restrictions pressures 32/230 and extremely cold suction line temp. System was frozen for unknown reason. Turned thermostat off to act as reached desired temp and contactor disengaged and also showed no signs of malfunctioning. Assumed defrost board was still sending call for (Y) due to it being still hokked to contactor from Board. Removed to assure no other ways of condenser still running when no call. Found filters okay and air flow is okay. Installers need to return to reroute return duct in front of air handler per clients request and what tech and him had discussed.
