Diagnostic completed. On arrival found thermostat not meeting set temperature and cycling a time delay. Inspected air handler and found condensate overflow into safety switch. Activated system to confirm adequate cooling, temperature drop of 18° achieved. Condensate line impacted. Inspected area wished to be cooled with mini split, area only around 500sf. Recommend no larger than 9k Mini split installation, provided estimate for quality Carrier. Called to discuss recommendations, client chose to renew maintenance agreement to provide no cost flush but wants to talk with partner about installation of mini split system. Service completed and balance collected via cc. No further action necessary.
Despite going 2-1/2 days without AC in the middle of July and being 6pm, our meeting with Mason air was a delight, because of Aaron Krasnow. This was the third company we had out and Aaron had the most experience and technical knowledge of all the techs we had seen previously. We were well prepared for what was wrong and that we were ultimately going to get a new system and Aaron was fabulous with details on different systems, different ducts, return placements, proper sizing, seers, bTU. One o the company insisted on a larger unit which made seek more options. Love to see someone so passionate and knowledgeable about the work they do and super polite. Aaron even went back to the shop to get us a loaner portable, at 8 on a Friday night. Above and beyond. Thanks.

No cooling, found bad blower motor inside air handler and condenser coil is completely rotted and deteriorated. System is 10 years old and recommend replacing due to age and condition. Client move forward with replacement. Installing a new 4 ton Daikin fit inverter style heat pump system with two returns in bedrooms and duct cleaning for 15 supplies and three returns. Installing on Tuesday, July 15. Dropped off portable AC to get client by with cooling until install is complete.

System was faulted in low Freon code on mini split Reset power to find pressures really not far out of wack. Charged system accordingly and checked temp splits to find all working as designed made hoe aware that if it happens again I’ll return with a D checker to let the system run and see what it faults in since it takes 5-6 hrs for it to act up

Came out because customer system wasn’t working upon arrival. Customer machine was back on and running. The customer said they clean their drain line. I went out and double checked to make sure that it was flowing and poured water down it before I left customers happy and satisfied.

Client wants condensation pumps installed that they are providing It will not be to code due to having to hook high voltage into system. Advised not to hook pump up into system and to run its own circuit and to run its own line. Will talk with Joe to see what’s the best price we can give or if we want to bid on job

Water leaking from system in workshop. Found air handler insulation completely saturated with water as well as supply ductwork. Return duct is sized too small. It’s only 18 inch. It needs to be 20 inch. Getting high static pressure on return, all insulation would need to be replaced inside air handler, supply duct needs to be replaced, and return size needs to be increased, however, system is eight years old and recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs. Office unit is not cooling either. Breaker keeps tripping for condenser. Found compressor shorted to ground. System is 18 years old and needs to be replaced. Emailed client options for repairs versus replacements.

Arrived to find system tripping off on float switch Cleared drain line under 1 st year warranty

I Was just out here on Sunday and added 2 pounds of refrigerant per clients request. Client requested us to come back out today to add more refrigerant to get the home cool. Upon diagnosis of system, found system significantly low, just about as low as the last time I was out here. Strongly advised to client to either do a leak search or replace system due to age and cost of repairs. Client chose to do a leak search with dye and added 7 pounds of refrigerant. Need to return in 3 to 5 days to perform leak with black light. System is running and cooling good at this time.

When I arrived the unit was working so I could not diagnose anything. It's possible there was a loose connection in Tstat. Told customer to not try to diagnose himself if it happens again so that we can figure out the issue if there is one

No cooling, found system low on refrigerant due to a leak somewhere in the system, and compressor has high startup amps gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is 10 years old and recommend replacing it due to age and cost of repairs. Client did not want to put the full amount of refrigerant in the system to bring system to manufacture specs or do not want to do a leak search. Client just wanted to put 2 pounds of refrigerant in to see how it will work and how long it will last. Advised client that 2 pounds refrigerant may not cool the house like he would like to and depending on how substantial the leak was that it may not last or leak out quickly. System is running, but not cooling to its full potential at this time.

AC system working upon arrival. Ask client if they would like me to do a complete thorough evaluation of system and service fee would be waived if further repairs were made. Client did not want to do that at this time. So that AC is working OK and will call us back if system goes out again.

Customer had brand new ductwork and machine put in about a year or two ago. Never got new boots or vents. One of the boots and vents are getting super bad and is leaking. Customer only wants to replace one boot in vent. Customer said he’s gonna try to get with the company that did it and see if they’ll do it for free.

James returned and replaced shorted reversing valve solenoid. Tested complete system operation All okay at this time

Came out for system being stuck in heating mode upon arrival found faulty error codes that were saying there was something wrong with the reversing valve found no problematic wires or anything loose or being grounded out. Need to have somebody come and replace or fix the reversing valve solenoid. Return to verify system running in heating mode. Getting 24 V to reversing valve. Ohmed out reversing valve and getting no continuity. Need to replace reversing valve solenoid. Ordered part from carrier need to schedule and return to replace it. Part is covered under warranty, client just has to pay for labor. -AK

Perform tuneup on AC system. Inspected into an outdoor coils, flushed drain line, replaced air filter, inspected blower wheel, checked temperatures, checked, static pressure, checked refrigerant pressures, inspected all major and minor electrical components. Found some biological growth buildup inside air handler, There is no service protection on system, and compressor has high startup amps. Gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is nine years old and recommended replacing due to age cost of repairs. Client decided to hold off for now on any recommendations. Signed client up for annual membership.

Came out for maintenance upon arrival. Customer had no questions after opening up. The air handler is where I started. The machine was completely caked in growth beyond cleanable was very dark and black could not complete full diagnosis without special mask after finding growth inside of air handler went and checked all other ducks found a growth inside of each duct recommended. Customer gets a new machine and ductwork
