Found upstairs systems ductwork highly compromised by rodents. Made client aware that he needs to replace all ductwork and to remove insulation from attic and have new blown in to have odors removed from home. Client also wanted me to look at the downstairs system while on site due to sweating . The system is a 3.5 ton and has a 9” duct feeding (4) 3” supply lines in dinning room and (4) 3” supply’s feeding the kitchen area. The duct work can not handle the 3.5 tons of air movement and is falling apart which is the reason why client is having sweating issues from downstairs ductwork.

Brennan G Today I visited for the system not working after the heater was turned on. Annie informed me that prior to my arrival she had reset the air handler breaker to get the system operational. I preformed an Inspection and found that the heater inside the air handler is an 8kw. The breaker and wire size is only sized for a 5kw. The over amperage from the electric heater was causing the breaker to trip. I disconnected one of the heaters. Reducing the amp draw to 17a with the heater engaged. I also reduced the blower speed to increase heating and cooling efficiency. We did not charge for this visit because the equipment is still under warranty from our Install. I verified serial numbers from our supply house that we did purchase the equipment. I Informed the office that we will need to find documentation that we sold and installed the system.

Found old fresh air pipe in closet had fell. Removed completely and sealed hole

Upon arrival tenet stated no heat or cooling was operational. Inspected system to find bad x13 blower motor System is out of warranty and made homeowner aware Gave client option for replacement of out of warranty blower motor for 15 year old system. Client agreed to pricing and replaced on site with new motor from local supplier. Client stated this is not the first bad blower motor. Checked system operation to find extremely high return and supply static pressure which is why blower motor is failing and if system is ever replaced the air duct needs to be addressed. On arrival, the fuse was blown. Found a bare common wire in air handler. Tapped it up and replaced fuse. Everything including heat is operational. No charge. Also did maintenance outside and cleared drain

Task Includes -Replacement of 5kw heat kit with 8kw -Returned and replaced 5KW Heater with 8KW Need electrician to come out and replaced 30 amp breaker with 45 I have disconnected 1 leg of the heater to only allow 5KW to operate.

Advised client that this is temporary and should keep an eye on the biological growth and ultra violet lamps are recommended. Checked snap draws on heater kit Temp split is within manufacture specs. Filters are clean System is peforming within manufacture specs. Client stated they would call into office to pay for maintenance plan. Sent quotes over for maintenance plan and for ultra violet lamps

Brennan G Today I visited to inspect a potential leak in the duct system. I confirmed there are some areas around the air handler that needs additional mastic. We scheduled a follow up visit for next Friday to make repairs and preform a maintenance.

Brennan G Today I visited for the system leaking water through the ceiling. I discovered the back right corner of the evaporator coil was dripping water just outside of the emergency pan. I found the 4 peice connecting the coil to the furnace had come apart on the back side and the tape did not stick. I shuved the emergency pan further back to catch the dripping water and after that happened the dripping stopped. We will need to return and make repairs and adjustments to the evaporator coil and 4 peice. We also need to install an emergency pan Float sensor and locking caps.

Quoted client new 3 Ton Carrier Heat Pump system due to excessive salt water intrusion. A lot of the copper and aluminum coils have been exposed and can already see corrosion accumulated! Client also talked about conditioning Florida room and made aware the only way possible to do so is to add a ductless mini split to the home separately or with a new carrier multi system! Sent all quotes to client.
