Client did not want to repair system, system is 11 years old and he wants it replaced. He had nothing but issues throughout the course of its life. Noticed that the main trunk line for the return and supply are undersized for a 3.5 ton system. Only getting a 14 inch supply and return, should be 18 inches. Also, client wanted to add a return to the master bedroom. All other ductwork on the main side is original to home. Gave client estimate to replace 3.5 ton heat pump system with all new ductwork and IAQ. Client has multiple estimates to look over and will make a decision by tomorrow or over the weekend. Told client that I would follow up with him tomorrow afternoon.

Solenoid Part Number - COL14716 - In Stock Claim #: C-24406398 - Warranty Replacement Diagnostic completed. Found low voltage protection tripped. Located short in reversing Valve circuit. Disconnected solenoid and circuit did not trip protection. Solenoid failed. Called client to report failure and recommend surge protection. Client accepted not recommendations. Retrieved party from distributor and returned to repair system and install protection. System reactivated with 16° delta. Homeowner requests to be called by office at 5pm as payment link not able to be sent by technician on site.

On arrival found system off with low voltage short. Traced wire set and low voltage components to ensure no obvious damage to wiring or components. Isolated short to (R) circuit. Removed common and discovered short in AHU control board. Called and discussed findings with client, recommended replacement board along with installation of surge protection and enrollment in maintenance program. Client unable to approve any repairs beyond immediate failure. Estimate sent to client to approve, balance for repair to be collected on approval. We will need to coordinate with distributor tomorrow to confirm part availability and schedule repair.

Called client no answer

Water leaking from evaporator coil into furnace. System is completely unlevel and water is not draining properly. Gave client options to replace coffin box and re-level unit, however, system is 14 years old and recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs. Client needs to discuss with spouse and will get back to us.

Upon arrival client stated she had mold remediation company out and stated she had mold in systems and duct work. Investigated entire systems to find downstairs 5 ton gas furnace and case coil to be original with home (18) years old and outdoor condenser to be relatively new. The downstairs case coil is complicated out and do not recommend pull and cleaning coil due to age and potentially causing major issues such as Freon leak. The downstairs system has a UV lamp in air supply plenum and has completely deteriorated the fiberglass plenum from the inside and is unhealthy. The downstairs ducting appears to be not as bad as the upstairs and can be cleaned and sanitized. For the upstairs 2 ton system that is 10 years old has major duct leakage and has created a moist environment in the attic joint connections and has created an excessive amounts of growth throughout duct work. Made homeowner aware that I do not recommend cleaning and replacement would be a much better permanent solution du
Answered any questions I had.

Came out for a maintenance upon arrival. Customer had no concerns after looking over. Both machines found no problems and machine is working. Operational temp split was good at this time. Machine is in good condition

Arrived to find compressor on lockout Reset power to find low on r410a Investigated system to find no signs of Freon leak at this time Topped RTU with 2lbs r410a and tested system operation. All okay at this time made client aware to call back in of stops cooling again and can further assess for leaks and hopefully at that time if there is a leak it will be visible. System had dropped 3 degrees since I had been on site

Brennan G Today I visited for a system maintenance. The system is clean and all electrical components are within specs. The refrigerant levels are within the proper range. I discovered a 1" Filter inside the air handler that had been in place likley since the system was installed. I removed the filter as it was only restricting air flow. I cleared and treated the drian line. The system is operating normally at this time.

Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the wiring inside the air handler was incorrect and the zone control board was not getting power, also the secondary drain line was broken. I made the necessary repairs and the system is now operational. 1 year warranty on the re wiring repair and drain line repairs. 30 day warranty on drain line clearing. I also cleared the drain line again today. I watched the system run and verified it is draining and cooling normally before leaving.

Last years tuneup -no charge per office!

Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling. I discovered the condensate line and emergency pan were clogged. I preformed a chemical flush of the primary line and cleared water from the emergency pan with approval from Pamela. The system is now cooling. I verified the system is cooling and draining normally before leaving. I recommended routine maintenance be preformed on the system to prevent service calls like the one today. 30 day guarantee on work preformed. Emailed invoice to pm for payment.
