Brennan G Today I visited for the system not heating. Upon arrival I discovered the thermostat was on the heating mode and the indoor temperature was satisfied at 78*. I set the thermostat to 80 to test the heating. Within a few minutes the indoor temperature was 80°. I also verified the cool mode is operating normally. Joyce and I discussed how to operate that thermostat and I advised her to change the mode and temperature as necessary to keep her comfortable.
Arrived to find condenser running in the cooling mode Assured proper wiring and configuration of thermostat Rewired thermostat to de-energize reversing valve Programmed thermostat to run emergency heater when heat pump can not keep up. Tested system in cooling modes and heating modes to assure proper functions. Compressor contactor is badly pitted at this time offered replacement while on site to prevent future call back. No charge
Brennan G Today I visited for a system maintenance. The system is operating normally at this time. I replaced the drain ptrap and re glued multiple fittings. The system is now draining normally.
Installed thermostat! Checked daughter’s room airflow! Recommended upsizing feed to that room due to high ceilings and small size of original supply.

New replacement complete condenser unit! Back ordered until August!
Diagnosed failing compressor! Recommend replacing entire condenser unit!
Installed capacity jumper and tested system. System operating normally no errors. Recommended installation of search protector at outdoor disconnect. Wife will inform husband. No need to return at this time.
Warranty control board and interface replacement! System tested and found Error code AJ! See note for details!
Service Call
Apparently the factory did not use glue and only 2 small strips of foil tape to secure the insulation panel in blower cavity! Causing the entire panel to be sucked into the fan and blocking airflow! This caused the unit to freeze up! Completely secured the insulation panel, utilized heat pump to defrost the system, and changed the fan speed from factory low speed to med-low(blue to pink)! Rechecked pressures in cool mode and system is running properly now! Locked home and rechecked system operating properly!
Replaced txv valve! System operating properly now! Need to collect payment!
Failed txv valve! Ordered replacement under warranty! Office to schedule replacement.
Bad indoor board and questionable interface per Daikin tech support Texas! Ordering parts need to schedule replacement!

Tightened flare connections. Also fit unit was down has bad power to outside recommend a surge protection
Found system operating with low refrigerant charge. Suggest to adjust the refrigerant charge to perform a leak search. After charging system, performed leak search with leak found at evaporator coil.
First tuneup and found leak at connections of second unit! Tightened and recharged system! Both operating properly now!
Inspection I followed up on complaints of a higher electric bill. New install September/October last year (2023). Upgraded heat (5kw) to a 8kw sometime in winter. All system components are operating and functioning normally. I’ve attached pictures of amp draws, stickers, and duct work/insulation. Duct work seems to be 1” board from 1986 (per tape). Customer is having a duke energy inspection tomorrow and will contact us following the inspection. Waiting on that.
Ducted mini split operational and register grilles installed! Customer very happy!
